Skye
These are just a few of the images from Southern Skye, mostly from around Elgol and Loch Slapin. (We stayed here a fantastic cottage nearby, highly recommended.)
The Cuillins must be amongst the most photographed mountains in the world - in fact sometimes it can be hard to get a picture without another photographer in the frame! And other times the weather can be just a little - challenging....
On a grey, wet or overcast day a sensible person would use such soft light to concentrate on detail and macro shots. Sadly that wouldn't be me!
On looking at these pictures you might think, 'Crikey - there's been a bit of heavy editing going on there,' and of course, there has. But then, if there hadn't been, many of these pictures would have been so grey and lifeless that they might have taken you to new and abysmal depths of visual despair. And I really wouldn't want that.
A full and detailed report on the story behind these images can be found in the Skye Diary.
Anyway - I hope you enjoy them!
